She paced the area, and finally sat, watching the sky. She didnt know what to do next. She had witnessed her mother die in an 'accident'. More like the wolf pushed her into the raging rapids. The wolf then drove her out, leaving the young female to fend alone. She sighed, looking down, her silver-black coat shining in the approaching dawn. She lay, and the sun began to rise. she tilted her head, and opened her maw, a beautiful sound rising and echoing through the lands. She did what her name said she would. She sang.

Lover stepped down from some rocks."I've never heard hat one.Would you mind teaching it to me?"He cocked his head the slightest ammount,the setting sun making his white stripes gleam silvery.

She quieted and looked at him. "What, no one ever taught you to howl?" she asked sarcastically. Well, mostly sarcastically. "I am Singer." she added, her eyes sparkling in the red sunlight.

"Non Ammate Un Combatenne.AKA Lover Boy.Whatever you wanna call me."He smiled at the she wolf,his red back paws tracing lines in the dirt."What are yodoing here?Just hanging out like me?"

She flicked her tail. 'I guess...' she said, flicking on ear, which gave away the the fake carefree tone.

"Somethings wrong.I can smell it.Do you mind telling me?"he asked with a huge ammount of concern in his voice.

She sighed. "I was driven out of my pack."

"That sucks.Alot.At least you actually had a pack!"Lover commented urgently."I've never had a pack before,you're lucky."

She looked up, about to reply, but just shook her head and looked down, silent.

Lover sighed and stared into the distance,not focusing on anything at all.He shook out his fur and stood,pacing.

She looked up again. "What are you doing?" humor in her voice.

"I eat when I'm bored,and eating would be kind of dangerous for you at the moment,so I'm pacing."His voice returned the humor,but was hiding something.

She play growled. "Well, there are other things to do when your bored.' she leapt up, and leaped over him, landing, turning to face him, her tail wagging.

He spun on his hind foot to face her,growling playfully.Lover slid into a battle position,tensing and untensing his muscles.

She laughed softly, and pounced, tumbling into him, her tail wagging even faster. She pinned him, licking his forehead and grinning.

He shook his head,making a disgusted face at being licked.Lover reached out and licked her forehead back,chuckling and grinning.

She chuckled, and then turned tail and fled, her laughter carrying. And then silence, as she disappeared into the surrounding forest, starting a game.

"Really?You wanna play hide and seek with a vampire?If you say so..."he trailed off,becoming silent and using his sharp ears to pick up any sound.He leapt, flying through the air towards her.

She laughed. "Unfair advantage!" she yelled through laughter, and sprinted off again, before barelling towards him again, crashing into his side breathlessly, grinning.

He skidded a few feet before getting more traction and stopping himself."Pretty strong,"He taunted."For a mortal,anyways!"Lover danced forward,running faster and faster untill he dissapeared,just an occasional red or white blur.Suddenly,he appeared at Singer's side,just behind her shoulder.Placing a paw on her shoulder,he gently murmured,'Tag.'

She sat back on her haunches. "Oh, you know thats unfair!" she grinned.
